Human Films Scores Big with 2014 Telly Awards

Human Films was just notified that there will soon be two new Telly awards on our shelf! The first is for a fun video we did about the Billy Pilgrim Traveling Library. We're proud to announce that it won a 2014 Silver Telly. We were also awarded a 2014 Bronze Telly for a video we produced for VauLt promoting their beautiful dance performance, "Thread." Both videos were a pleasure to produce, and we're really pleased to have been able to highlight such wonderful, creative artists. Because they're award-winners, we're posting the videos again!

Reach Unlimited, Inc.--Reach Snapshot

We're always happy to work with our amazing friends at Reach Unlimited. Here's a short video Reach commissioned that is edited from our archive of footage we've shot for previous productions. We are honored to be associated with Reach Unlimited; the fundraising video will make its debut in October. In the meantime, here are some images of two great days of production.

Winter Street Studios

Winter Street Studios is one of the first communities dedicated to the arts in Houston's First Ward Arts District. Human Films just completed a promotional video for the studios, which are under the same management as Spring Street Studios where Human Films is located. The two buildings have a common purpose but have two distince personalities, and the new video reflects the quirky creative energy of Winter Street Studios. Click on the thumbnail below to see the video that has everyone is talking about.

Winter Street Studios

Production has begun on the marketing video for Winter Street Studios, which highlights the awesome talent of the artists who work at this unique creative facility. Human Films is producing the video as a "companion" piece for its well-received video for Spring Street Studios, completed earlier this year. Winter Street Studios artists include painters, mosaic artists, furniture makers, digital artists, textile designers, and many others. They all contribute to the vibrant First Ward Arts District of Houston, and Human Films director/cinematographer Gary Watson is proud to be a part of it. (Photo album updates can be seen at facebook.com/human-films.)

Spring Street Studios

There's been a lot of buzz about the marketing video for Spring Street Studios produced by Human Films. It showcases several of the amazing artists who are a part of the diverse arts community at this wonderful building. The video was featured by Spring Street Studios at the Texas Contemporary Arts Fair at the George R. Brown Convention Center in October and will be posted on the studios' web site. There are also plans to show it during each Second Saturday gallery showing at Spring Street Studios. We were pleased to have a special screening of the video for the artists who will also post it to their own web sites and Facebook pages. Next up: a similar marketing video for the Spring Street Studios' sister facility--Winter Street Studios. Click below to see the video that celebrates artistic joy and passion.

Houston Independent School District

Human Films responded immediately to a request from the Houston Independent School District to produce a commercial that encourages early voting with a reminder to vote on the last item on the ballot--the Houston School Bond proposal. This commercial was conceived, produced, and delivered in less than two weeks, and we're pleased that our client was very pleased with the result. Check it out!
